If you have a website where you host your YouTube videos, or you have a webinar or VSL that is on YouTube, having captions can help.
But embedding the video from YouTube to your site will not transfer over the captions.
Unless you do this:
To make an embedded video autoplay and automatically add closed captions from youtube, just add:
“?rel=0&autoplay=1&cc_load_policy=1” to the video’s embed code right after the video ID
With JUST captions but no autoplay, your video will look like this:
So first grab your videos regular embed code. Like this one:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-W17X2kEya8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Then, that code with autoplay AND captions would now look like this:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-W17X2kEya8?rel=0&autoplay=1&cc_load_policy=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
With JUST captions but no autoplay, you can do this:

So in short, the code, which is added after the video ID would be:
Autoplay & captions: ?rel=0&autoplay=1&cc_load_policy=1
Captions only: ?=1&cc_load_policy=1
